Donna's illustrations are made from the layering of dots. She has a unique talent for a drawing technique known as ‘stippling’ or ‘pointillism' In basic terms, she is obsessed with drawing in dots, using only a fine liner.
Daphne the Deer took 30+ hours to draw, dot by dot. With this purchase you will receive the original of this beautiful illustration.
Each one of Donna’s illustrations are created free hand, singularly made from the layering of dots - hundreds upon thousands of tiny dots and countless hours. Donna credits her unique talent for the technique known as ‘stippling’ or ‘pointillism' to achieving such intricate drawings using just a fine liner. Donna’s pieces take on discipline, focus and a life of their own. Some designs have hand painted watercolour added for a pop of colour.
Artworks are all printed on top quality papers using the latest Giclee printing methods and archival inks. Acid free, fade resistant with a smooth surface. All Dots by Donna prints are printed on 308gsm Canson cotton rag archival paper. The white cotton paper, has a wonderfully soft feel. All prints are archival and will become a family heirloom.

FRAMES- As of August 2022 DBD no longer offers framing. DBD use standard paper sizing which makes it easy to find frames to suit.
